Nessun afterglow ottico rilevato.  
Il telescopio Schmidt ha iniziato a osservare automaticamente  3min 41sec 
dopo la rilevazione del GRB da parte del satellite Swift (ottimo risultato).
C'era nebbia e l'osservatorio si è chiuso mezz'ora più tardi, dopo aver ottenuto 15 immagini.
Il Telescopio Newton è stato puntato manualmente alle 18:52:56 UT e ha ottenuto 27
immagini. Queste sono più profonde; forse in paese c'era meno nebbia.
